Yes, on-site we collect rainwater and it is safe to drink, though please note it is not filtered. If youprefer to drink bottled water, we have provided two bottles of water in the fridge for your convenience.

Fires are not permitted as we are in a high-risk bushfire zone.Please note: If a bushfire is threatening in the near, the safest option is to leave early if the path is clear. Designated safe places include the townships of either Kingscote or Penneshaw.If you don’t have a clear safety path, Vivonne Bay beach is a natural open place of last resort.

Please note there’s no free-to-air TV reception in Vivonne Bay. We have fast, reliable Starlink WiFi available for streaming all your favourite channels and have included Netflix as a complimentary service.

Vivonne Bay is slightly more remote, therefore dining options are limited on the southern and western sides of Kangaroo Island. Vivonne Bay does have a highly rated general store famous for their delicious burgers and take away food, including a bottle shop, basic staple items, local condiments, merchandise and fuel.They have dine-in seating including a spacious outside deck and open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm with extended hours during peak season.If you wish to bring some food / drinks with you, there’s an IGA store and bottle shop in Penneshaw or in Kingscote there’s also a Drakes Foodland / bottle shop where you can stock up on groceries.
